Tell me about it ... stud

My obsession for loafers this fall is getting worse. I find myself "falling"
more and more for the androgynous trend this season but can you blame me?
There is just something about dressing like your boyfriend and adding
that female touch of sexy that drives me bonkers.

My short vacation to Atlantic City was everything I needed to relax. I absolutely love the way I felt while being there. Three nights of total bliss and not to mention it was the perfect time to bring out my loafers because it was not the kind of place you could dress up too much especially while walking on the boardwalk. Sadly, that meant no heels but who says you can't be sexy without heels ? I certainly didn't, BUT THAT'S JUST TUTU

Wild and Untamed

Something about the sun being out today made me want to go wild and crazy. So I woke up today and didn't even pick up a straightener. I wanted the crazy, nappy, big hair look I have desperately always wanted to achieve but was a little skeptical about it. I was afraid people would say things like "did her straightener die or something?" Nonetheless, I braided my hair just so I can achieve the frizzy hair look and I loved it. Even though this is not exactly nappy hair or MINE, it made me wonder why tightly coiled hair also known as nappy hair is so frowned upon. The sad thing is its us thats doing everything in our power to BUY the look thats considered the norm. Some of us (and I am guilty as well), will go as far as buying up to $300 Malaysian/Indian/cambodian (notice African hair is not included in this) hair just to be a part of the norm.

When I meet people that are natural, I always commend them because it takes a very beautiful, confident African woman to wear her hair proudly with no chemicals. My confidence is not close to being there yet, BUT THAT'S JUST TUTU. Not to worry though, I'll get there slowly but surely.

Inspired Look Day

Every now and then my looks are inspired by celebrities and my favorite bloggers BUT THAT'S JUST TUTU. Because of this I have decided to incorporate this into a few posts. So once in a while I will post pictures of a favorite look of mine and then show you guys the way I wore it and how you can get these looks for cheap.

My first fashionista is Solange Knowles. Over the past few years this lovely young lady has been making a name for herself in the fashion world.
This look stuck out to me because this summer I was seriously reaching for these 70's High waist flare pants. So I thought adding a blazer like Solange "is so crazy, it just might work." These 70's style pants are extremely fashionable and goes with pretty much anything.

I still have in the same hair by the same, I used a no heat regimen to curl it thats all.

Double L: Leopards + Loafers

Steve Madden

J Crew

The trend this fall has definitely been bold thus far. The Androgynous look for women has been slowly but surely making its way into the hearts of fashion lovers. I tell you, there is something about dressing down with a hint of sexy that every female is blessed with that wows me. That being said, Loafers is definitely a must have in every females closet. I say head on over to your favorite stores and pick one up. These shoes can be found as low as $20 depending on where you snatch them up.

Another bold trend thats common this fall is prints. They are taking over the scene sporadically especially leopard skin styles.  I for one have never been a fan of leopard skin  BUT THAT'S JUST TUTU.  But lucky for me, I took a walk on the dark side and decided to join the bandwagon. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. As a matter of fact, I am kicking myself for not hopping on a long time ago.

Combining these two L's is extremely bold. I would suggest dressing down because your shoes are doing all the talking for your outfit meaning every other item should be the supporting actress, not the leading lady.

Here is how I dressed up my Double L's

How To: Bohemian Braid with weave

Sorry Guys. I wanted to make a video but something came up

This would work so great on relaxed hair as well as natural Hair

Achieving the bohemian braiding style can be complicated especially when you have short hair.
I suggest you get the cheap synthetic weave for corn rows at the beauty store, its like $1.99 a pack and thats all you'll need ( keep in mind the longer the better )

Steps I followed:
1) I braided the weave from the top to the bottom

2) I burned the end of the braid so that the braids will not come undone

3) Part your hair how you like or simply brush it back like I did

4) Put your hair in a ponytail
5) Place the braid where you feel fits you best then wrap it around your pony tail
6) Curve the pony tail or braid it depending on how long your hair it
7) Use a few bobby pins to lock your hair into the braids

And WA L A! Just like that you're done.
I call this hairstyle the "Lazy Do" because its the kind you can quickly whip up on a fast pace day BUT THAT'S JUST TUTU
