Good evening everyone and Happy sunday. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I am currently loving this whole jersey dress trend happening right now, BUT THAT'S JUST TUTU. So I was more than excited when Zara had this in their new collection. This dress is something that can be worn in the summer and fall with a light trench. Hope you guys enjoy. Cheers XOXO.

Goodbye Summer

 photo image.jpeg

Hello everyone, hope you are well. I have been meaning to wear these aztec shorts but I've been putting them off until I realized that fall is fast approaching. I decided to go on the totally colorful route which I do not regret. Also, don't you guys just die for these bow style shoes from Zara, prepare to see them a whole lot!  XOXO until next time readers and bloggers.

Looks of the week

 photo lupita-nyongo-12-years-a-slave-2013-toronto-film-festival-premiere-prada-embellished-gown-raso-stone-clutch-1.jpg

The beautiful "12 years a slave" actress Lupita Nyong'o graced the TIFF premiere in all Prada everything.  This stunning Prada white silk draped gown, was complemented with a dazzling jewel encrusted prada clutch and lets not forget her flawless skin to boot. I am in LOVE!!

Rita Dominic wore this beautiful lace dress with a cape designed by Ugonna Umeruo's House of Nwocha to the NEA awards held in New York City last weekend. I am loving this look in totality. Honestly if she didn't wear the cape, I would still love this look.

Our favorite Nollywood gone Hollywood actress spotted in a white on white ensemble in Canada for the Premiere of the anticipated book turned movie "Half of a Yellow Sun". This Andrea Iyamah jumpsuit was the perfect look she needed to make her debut into hollywood. Not to mention, her sleek ponytail, snow white clutch, minimal jewelry and her gold belt accentuates the classy look she was going for. Oh Genevieve, we can't get enough!

In honor of 'Back to School' week or should I say weeks lol, I'm posting this get up and go fit for my students.  A good androgynous fit with a touch of feminism is perfect for an early morning poli sci class. Now don't be like those cute freshmens who wear heels to class on the first day of school, just put on a nice brogue and call it a day.

Hello Everyone,
So its becoming easier and easier to find "suppose" traditional prints from America/European stores lately. For that I am not complaining but we will leave the other topic that us Africans have been complaining about in regards to our traditional wear going mainstream (Let's save that for another day). Anyways, Ohio is not exactly the easiest or cheapest way to find a seamstress to quickly sew a nice and I mean NICE Ankara last minute. Lucky for me, I snatched this detailed skirt from ASOS about a few months ago and I decided to make this my "traditional" wear. I love the skirt because you can't tell me that its not Ankara, BUT THAT'S JUST TUTU. I wanted to add more drama to it by pairing it with this ASOS skater peplum top which accentuates the skater skirt.
XOXO. Until next time.
